The United Arab Emirates has awarded Electro Optic Systems (EOS) a $124 million contract for its Slinger counter-drone remote weapon system. Designed to detect, track, and neutralize unmanned aerial threats, the system combines advanced targeting technologies with a stabilized weapon station for high-precision engagement. The agreement includes weapons, training, support equipment, and sustainment services, with production shared between Australia and the UAE. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027, reinforcing the UAE’s growing investment in counter-UAS capabilities.
