The U.S. Navy has tapped Raytheon for a $536 million contract supporting the rollout of SPY-6 radar systems, which offer advanced detection and tracking of aerial and missile threats.

The deal includes a broad range of services, such as training personnel, system integration, onboard installations, and ongoing software updates to enhance radar performance.

Raytheon’s SPY-6 radars are already installed on two Navy ships, with three more expected to be fitted this year. More than 60 vessels are set to receive these systems by the end of the decade as part of a broader fleet-wide radar upgrade initiative.
