The AAROK drone, developed by Turgis Gaillard and introduced at the 2023 Paris Air Show, stands as the first Medium Altitude, Long Endurance (MALE) drone fully designed and built in France. It is specifically intended for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions in high-intensity conflict zones and for maritime surveillance operations.
To fulfill these mission demands, the AirMaster S radar from Thales was selected due to its proven performance in combat scenarios, both internationally and within France, particularly on the French Navy’s ATL2 maritime patrol aircraft. The radar’s compatibility with MALE drone platforms also played a key role in its selection.
