Moog, a leading defense systems provider, has secured a renewed contract with Leonardo DRS for the second year of spare parts supply under the SGT Stout Program, officially known as Maneuver-Short Range Air Defense (M-SHORAD). This agreement ensures uninterrupted support for fielded U.S. Army turret systems, with spare part deliveries scheduled through June 2026.

As the OEM for the Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform (RIwP®) used in the SGT Stout air defense systems, Moog emphasized its dedication to maintaining the Army’s tactical edge. The company reiterated its focus on delivering innovative and durable solutions that help ensure its weapons platforms remain combat-ready in diverse operational scenarios.

The SGT Stout system serves as a mobile defense mechanism capable of countering low-altitude aerial threats, particularly unmanned aerial systems (UAS). With growing reliance on mobile air defense in modern warfare, this contract represents a vital step in sustaining the effectiveness and availability of the Army’s frontline defensive capabilities. Moog’s ongoing partnership with Leonardo DRS reinforces the company’s pivotal role in advancing U.S. military readiness.
