Embraer has upgraded two SABER M60 radar systems of the Brazilian Army to the 2.0 configuration under an ongoing modernization program covering eight units. The upgrade follows a mid-life enhancement strategy aimed at improving system reliability, availability, and performance while extending operational lifespan. The SABER M60 is a 3D low-altitude surveillance radar with a 60 km range and the ability to track up to 60 targets. Version 2.0 introduces enhanced signal processing, improved detection in electronic warfare environments, and a more user-friendly interface. The radar integrates into layered air defense systems and includes low probability of interception features.
