The Pentagon has commissioned more VAMPIRE weapon systems from defense contractor L3Harris to strengthen surveillance and counter-drone capabilities for European defense operations.
This follows a $40-million order last year, which focused on delivering 14 VAMPIRE systems to Ukraine for countering aerial threats.
Although exact figures and target countries for the latest shipment remain confidential, the contract reflects Washington’s shift from solely aiding Ukraine to also supporting a wider European defense strategy.
