Greece is accelerating the expansion of its unmanned aerial capabilities through four new contracts focused on combat drone development. The agreements were signed by the Hellenic Centre for Defence Innovation following extensive field testing during the national exercise PARMENION. One of the contracts focuses on developing kamikaze-style drones, while the other three aim to produce domestic Category I unmanned combat aerial vehicles for use by the Greek Armed Forces. These initiatives are intended to strengthen Greece’s defense innovation ecosystem by connecting research institutions, industry partners, and military requirements.
