Israel’s Elbit Systems has secured a major $1.4-billion defense modernization contract from an unnamed European customer, further expanding the company’s growing footprint across Europe. The agreement includes autonomous unmanned platforms, software-defined radios, electronic warfare systems, electro-optical targeting equipment, and precision-guided munitions for artillery and air-to-ground operations. The contract reflects increasing European demand for integrated battlefield networking, survivability solutions, and drone-enabled warfare capabilities amid shifting regional security priorities. Elbit has recently expanded partnerships across Europe through rocket artillery, infrared countermeasure, and advanced land systems programs.
