Poland has initiated field trials of advanced drone detection technologies under its East Shield program. The system employs seven acoustic reconnaissance platforms that detect and track UAVs by analyzing their sound signatures in real time. Integrated with electronic warfare capabilities, it enhances early warning and situational awareness, especially in areas where radar systems face limitations. This layered approach strengthens border security against low-altitude and hard-to-detect aerial threats.
