EDGE and Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar have signed a technical cooperation agreement to integrate EDGE’s Al Tariq precision-guided munitions onto the Bayraktar Akinci unmanned combat aerial vehicle. The integration effort includes compatibility testing, mission demonstrations, and operational optimization for day and night strike missions. Al Tariq is a modular precision-guided munition family designed for extended-range engagements under varying environmental conditions. The integration reflects a broader trend in unmanned combat aviation toward pairing adaptable smart weapons with high-end autonomous strike platforms. Alongside the technical integration agreement, both companies signed a commercial cooperation framework allowing mutual marketing and export opportunities for each other’s defense products.
