Terra Drone Corporation has secured a contract from Japan’s Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency to produce 300 modular unmanned aerial vehicles for military training applications. Valued at 115.4 million yen ($735,000), the contract requires deliveries by September 2026 and represents one of Terra Drone’s first major defense-sector awards following its formal expansion into military technologies earlier this year. The UAVs are intended to support Japan’s rapidly growing investment in unmanned systems, with Tokyo allocating approximately 277.3 billion yen ($1.7 billion) toward drone-related defense capabilities in the current fiscal cycle. Terra Drone is simultaneously pursuing international defense growth, including support for Ukrainian interceptor drone production and planned expansion into the United States and NATO markets. The company aims to leverage Ukraine’s rapid drone innovation cycles while combining them with scalable industrial manufacturing and international investment.
