Hungary has completed the expansion of its Saab Gripen fleet following the delivery of its final Gripen C fighter aircraft under a 2024 acquisition contract. The additions increase the country’s operational fleet to 18 Gripen C/D fighters, strengthening national air-defense capabilities while enhancing NATO interoperability and regional security operations.Capable of speeds up to Mach 2 and equipped with advanced air-to-air and air-to-ground weapon systems, the Gripen remains one of Europe’s most versatile multirole fighters.
