Belgium has officially received its first Airbus H145M multi-role military helicopter, marking the beginning of a broader fleet modernization program that will eventually include 20 aircraft. The versatile helicopter features Airbus’ Helionix digital avionics suite, twin Safran Arriel 2E engines with FADEC, advanced connectivity, and compatibility with networked military operations and unmanned systems.Designed for exceptional mission flexibility, the H145M can rapidly transition between reconnaissance, special operations, search and rescue, medical evacuation, and light attack missions through its modular mission package. The aircraft significantly strengthens Belgium’s rotary-wing capabilities while improving operational readiness and interoperability with European allies.
