Teledyne FLIR Defense has introduced the Black Recon micro-UAV, a lightweight reconnaissance platform engineered to provide persistent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities at the tactical level. Despite weighing less than half a kilogram, the drone integrates thermal imaging, daylight cameras, advanced navigation systems, and extended endurance for prolonged operations. Its compact design enables rapid deployment by small units while maintaining the ability to deliver real-time situational awareness beyond line of sight. The system reflects the continuing trend toward highly portable ISR technologies for modern battlefield operations.
