The French Navy has expanded its unmanned capabilities by ordering additional Camcopter S-100 systems from Schiebel. Integrated onto FREMM frigates by Naval Group, these rotary-wing drones enhance maritime ISR operations. The S-100 features vertical takeoff and landing, extended endurance of up to 10 hours, and payload capacity for diverse mission equipment. France has operated the system since 2012, progressively integrating it across multiple naval platforms, marking a significant advancement in European naval drone operations and combat system integration.
