Airbus is finalizing the construction of the first two SIRTAP tactical drones for the Spanish Armed Forces. The prototypes are currently in the final assembly phase at the company’s Getafe site near Madrid and will soon undergo thorough ground and flight tests. This progress follows a 2023 deal worth €495 million ($539 million) between Airbus and Spain’s Ministry of Defense to deliver nine SIRTAP systems, each comprising three UAVs and a control station.
