The Dutch Ministry of Defence has partnered with Lobster Robotics to enhance the Scout underwater drone for military operations.
Initially created for commercial applications, the Scout is now being adapted for defense missions such as mine detection and underwater surveillance. The drone is equipped with sophisticated imaging systems, lighting, and intelligent software that produce detailed maps of the ocean floor, significantly reducing the need for manual footage analysis.
