The German Armed Forces have awarded AeroVironment a contract to supply advanced Telemax HT300 unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD). The agreement includes 41 large-class EOD robots, built specifically to handle improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and hazardous materials across challenging environments.
Equipped with a precision manipulator arm, the HT300 is designed to operate safely in unstable or debris-covered terrains, enabling the remote handling of threats without exposing personnel to risk. The vehicles deliver high traction, ruggedized architecture, and integrated navigation systems.
This procurement enhances Germany’s capacity to perform clearance operations in urban and battlefield zones, ensuring interoperability with NATO EOD units and supporting operations in both homeland defense and international missions.
