The NH90 is a modern twin-engine medium-lift rotorcraft developed through a multinational European program led by NHIndustries. Designed to meet NATO requirements, it supports both land and maritime missions. Since its first flight in 1995 and service entry in 2007, over 600 units have been produced. Featuring fly-by-wire controls, composite structures, and modular design, it is available in Tactical Transport (TTH) and NATO Frigate Helicopter (NFH) variants. Despite high operational costs and logistical complexities, the platform remains widely used for troop transport, anti-submarine warfare, and humanitarian missions.
