Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has opted for a five-bladed articulated rotor system for its upcoming IMRH helicopter, replacing the hingeless design used in lighter platforms. This change addresses the structural demands of a 13-tonne class helicopter, improving lift efficiency, load distribution, and vibration control. The articulated system enhances durability in heavy-lift operations and supports naval requirements such as blade folding. This design aligns with global standards for medium-lift helicopters and prioritizes stability, reliability, and long-term performance.
