Airbus has transformed its H145 helicopter platform into the autonomous U145, an uncrewed aircraft designed for logistics, cargo transport, and high-risk missions. The platform removes the traditional cockpit and integrates advanced autonomy systems, artificial intelligence, and sensor technologies to operate without onboard personnel. With a maximum takeoff weight of 3,800 kilograms, the U145 can transport significant payloads while featuring a cargo-optimized design that includes an integrated nose-loading door, dedicated cargo floor, and foldable loading system. The concept demonstrates Airbus’ vision for future autonomous rotary-wing operations.
