Russia and China are moving forward with the Advanced Heavy Lift (AHL) helicopter project, designed to support operations in challenging high-altitude environments such as Tibet. Led by China’s AVIC with key technological contributions from Russia, the platform is expected to carry payloads of up to 16 tons. The helicopter will enhance troop transport, logistics support, infrastructure development, and rapid deployment capabilities across remote regions. The project represents a significant milestone in bilateral aerospace cooperation and military modernization.
