The US has approved two military support packages for India valued at a combined $428.2 million, aimed at sustaining the country’s Apache helicopters and M777A2 ultra-light howitzers. The Apache support package includes technical, engineering, logistics, and training assistance for India’s AH-64E fleet operated by both the Air Force and Army. Meanwhile, the M777A2 package focuses on long-term maintenance, spare parts, and operational support for the lightweight artillery systems widely deployed in high-altitude regions. Washington stated that the deals reinforce strategic defense cooperation with India and support stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
