GE Aerospace and StandardAero have partnered to manufacture and sustain CT7-2E1 engines selected for the UK Armed Forces’ New Medium Helicopter (NMH) program. The engines will power Leonardo AW149 helicopters, which are planned to replace aging platforms including the Dauphin, Griffin, Puma, and Twin Huey fleets. StandardAero will support engine production and maintenance activities from its Gosport facility while expanding UK aerospace manufacturing capabilities. The partnership will strengthen engineering skills through workforce development, apprenticeships, and technical training programs. It also builds on StandardAero’s long-standing support relationship with the UK Ministry of Defence, including maintenance services for Chinook and Apache AH-64E helicopter fleets.
