Germany is expanding its role in the production of Patria 6×6 armored vehicles through a new cooperation agreement between Patria and KNDS Deutschland Maintenance. The partnership will see KNDS handle vehicle assembly and final integration in Germany, while Patria transfers the technical knowledge required for local production. The agreement supports two contracts awarded to Patria by Germany in December 2025, with serial deliveries expected to increase from early 2027. The initiative is part of the Common Armoured Vehicle System program, which provides participating nations with a standardized 6×6 platform while allowing configurations to be tailored to individual military requirements. Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Denmark, and Germany have already received vehicles, while Norway and the UK participate in the wider program. Patria is also advancing other European armored vehicle initiatives, including cooperation on the TRACKX tracked platform and accelerated production for Slovakia’s 8×8 program. The German assembly agreement demonstrates the growing emphasis on regional defense manufacturing, industrial cooperation, and common armored vehicle platforms across Europe.
