Turkish defense company Aselsan has signed another agreement with Polish armored vehicle manufacturer AMZ-Kutno for additional ARSUS reconnaissance and surveillance systems. The new deal expands the existing cooperation between the companies, although neither side publicly disclosed the contract value. Defense industry reporting has suggested that the order may involve 24 ARSUS systems.ARSUS combines sensors and associated equipment to improve an armored vehicle crew’s ability to detect, identify and track objects at extended ranges. The systems are being integrated into Poland’s Kleszcz programme, which is based on an AMZ-Kutno-developed 4×4 armored vehicle designed for reconnaissance missions.The partnership builds on a previous contract signed in 2024, worth 16.6 million euros ($19.3 million), covering the supply of radar and electro-optical equipment for the Kleszcz vehicles. The latest agreement therefore represents a continuation of an established industrial relationship rather than an entirely new programme.Aselsan has stated that it intends to increase its presence in Poland through its local office, partnerships and ongoing projects with Polish defense companies. The deal also fits into a broader expansion of defense ties between Turkey and Poland. In July, Turkish defense industry chief Haluk Görgün visited Warsaw and met Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz to discuss current cooperation and possible future projects.The discussions followed a security cooperation agreement signed in December 2025. That framework covers information exchange, joint military exercises, intelligence cooperation and defense industrial development. It also calls for closer coordination within NATO and preparation for the 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara, while Poland has indicated support for Turkey’s participation in European defense initiatives.
