Switzerland has selected the KNDS Artillery Gun Module (AGM) system to replace its aging M109 self-propelled howitzers, awarding a contract for 32 systems mounted on Piranha IV 10×10 vehicles. Featuring a fully automated remotely operated gun module, the AGM offers exceptional mobility, reduced crew requirements, and the ability to conduct fire missions while moving. Capable of firing up to nine rounds per minute and engaging targets beyond 50 kilometers with rocket-assisted ammunition, the system significantly enhances artillery responsiveness and survivability.
