Hanwha Defense, a South Korean defense firm, has unveiled a new wheeled self-propelled howitzer for the U.S. Army, combining the K9A2 turret with a Mack Defense military truck chassis. This offering is part of the U.S. Army’s Next Generation Howitzer (NGH) program, which seeks to upgrade artillery after canceling the Extended Range Cannon Artillery (ERCA) project.
