Chaiseri Defense has unveiled its latest breakthrough in Thailand’s armored vehicle portfolio with the launch of the Guardian-T 8×8, an advanced wheeled combat platform engineered to support a heavy-caliber cannon and long-range missile systems. The new design marks a significant leap in the nation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its domestic land systems and expand export-focused defense offerings.
The Guardian-T made its official debut at the Defense & Security 2025 exhibition in Bangkok, where regional and global defense officials witnessed Thailand’s growing capability to develop modular, high-performance armored platforms. The vehicle has been positioned as a versatile system capable of integrating various weapon configurations and mission sensors, making it adaptable to a wide spectrum of battlefield environments.
Based on the amphibious 8×8 chassis currently operated by the Royal Thai Navy Marine Corps, the Guardian-T introduces a redesigned combat role centered around medium-weight firepower and enhanced direct-fire support. This evolution aligns with modern operational needs requiring greater mobility, protection, and lethality in contested zones.
With its ability to mount heavy cannons and advanced missile payloads, the Guardian-T aims to provide both domestic forces and international customers with a cost-effective solution for fire support, coastal defense, and mechanized operations. Chaiseri’s development reflects Thailand’s ambition to become a competitive player in the global armored vehicle market.
