Finnish defense company Patria has signed multiple agreements with Czech state-owned defense organizations as Prague advances plans to replace its aging Pandur II armored fleet with more than 250 new 8×8 vehicles. The partnerships involve the Military Technical Institute, Military Research Institute, and defense company VOP CZ, focusing on local industrial participation, technology integration, production support, and long-term sustainment capabilities within the Czech Republic. Patria is offering the AMV XP 8×8 CZ platform, a localized version of its Armored Modular Vehicle designed to meet NATO interoperability standards while supporting future upgrades and mission adaptability. The initiative is intended to strengthen sovereign defense manufacturing capacity through broad involvement of domestic public and private industries, with deliveries expected to begin in 2029 pending final approval of the acquisition program.
