Taiwan has reported a major increase in Chinese maritime deployments, with more than 100 Chinese navy, coast guard, and support vessels operating across regional waters from the Yellow Sea to the South China Sea and Western Pacific. Taiwanese officials said the deployment intensified following a summit between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, amid concerns over future US arms support for Taiwan. The buildup comes as Beijing continues to increase military pressure on the island through frequent naval patrols, fighter jet incursions, and large-scale exercises aimed at reinforcing its territorial claims.
