Adani Defence, in collaboration with DRDO’s RCI, has developed the ULM-ER (ULPGM-V3), an advanced UAV-launched precision missile designed for extended-range battlefield engagement. Weighing approximately 12.5 kg, it offers a strike range of up to 10 km, allowing drones to operate safely outside enemy air defence zones. The system uses a dual-thrust solid rocket motor for improved propulsion and flight stability. Its hybrid guidance system combines imaging infrared (IIR) and passive laser homing, enabling both autonomous and externally guided targeting. Integrated into swarm drone operations, the ULM-ER allows coordinated reconnaissance and precision strikes against armored and fortified targets. It bridges the gap between lightweight loitering munitions and heavier missile systems, enhancing India’s tactical drone warfare capability with cost-effective precision engagement.
