Spain’s Navantia and Germany’s thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore joint submarine development and export opportunities. The partnership aims to streamline production processes, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery timelines for advanced underwater platforms. It will leverage TKMS’ expertise in submarine design and Navantia’s shipbuilding infrastructure. Ongoing projects include Spain’s S-80 class submarines and multiple international programs, positioning the collaboration as a key player in meeting rising global demand for modern naval capabilities.
