Rheinmetall subsidiary NVL has initiated production of the final Type 424 SIGINT vessel for the German Navy. The 132-meter platform will replace the aging Type 423 fleet and is equipped for advanced electronic and signals intelligence operations. Featuring low-noise propulsion and integrated sensor systems, the vessels will support cyber and electronic warfare missions, with delivery scheduled between 2029 and 2031.
