The Italian Navy has received the upgraded Tritone multi-purpose support vessel, constructed by Fincantieri. Designed primarily for underwater missions, the vessel incorporates a modular architecture that supports various payloads, including unmanned aerial, surface, and underwater systems. Tritone will function as a testing platform for future underwater surveillance vessels under the UPSDS program, expected by 2031.
