Diehl Defence has successfully demonstrated its Ziesel unmanned ground vehicle firing Spike LR anti-tank guided missiles during a live-fire campaign conducted with Rafael and EuroSpike GmbH. The lightweight tracked UGV launched 17 missiles over five days, validating the platform’s structural stability and combat integration under operational conditions. Equipped with Diehl’s PLATON autonomy suite, the Ziesel can navigate terrain autonomously while minimizing exposure to enemy detection and electronic warfare. The platform is being evaluated for multiple battlefield roles, including logistics, casualty evacuation, and armed support missions.
