The Turkish Navy has officially commenced the construction of three indigenous warships: the MILDEN submarine, the MUGEM aircraft carrier, and the TF-2000 class destroyer. A ceremonial first weld was completed for the submarine at Gölcük Shipyard, while the initial cutting of metal for the carrier and destroyer took place at Istanbul Shipyard, marking a milestone in Turkey’s naval expansion.
