The British Army has deployed H145-based Jupiter HC Mk2 helicopters in Brunei as part of a broader initiative to support overseas operations and training. These helicopters, assigned to the 667 Squadron Army Air Corps, are designed for multi-role missions, including medical evacuation, troop transport, firefighting, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance tasks. The deployment is part of a UK Ministry of Defence program established in 2024, with all six helicopters expected to be operational by 2026. Airbus Helicopters has also secured a support and servicing contract to ensure operational readiness. The H145 platform offers high efficiency, with a seating capacity of up to 10 personnel, a payload of approximately 1,900 kilograms, and the ability to operate at high altitudes. Its versatility makes it well-suited for challenging environments such as jungle terrain.
