Australia’s Ministry of Defence has received its first Arafura-class offshore patrol vessel from Luerssen Australia, part of the SEA 1180 project. Named NUSHIP Arafura, the vessel began construction in late 2018 and was launched in 2021. It will now proceed to HMAS Stirling for trials and evaluation before officially joining the Royal Australian Navy fleet later this year.
