Thales UK has delivered the first of four fully autonomous minehunting systems to the Royal Navy. Named RNMB “Ariadne,” the 12-meter unmanned surface vessel is equipped with artificial intelligence for automatic detection and classification of underwater threats. The system can operate independently or be remotely controlled, improving both mission effectiveness and crew safety during mine-clearing operations.
