Latvia has signed a contract to obtain Israeli-developed Spike missile systems for both the military and national guard.
The 81-million-euro package includes weapons, spare parts, and support gear, though quantities remain classified.
The deal ensures 30 percent local Latvian participation, bolstering the country’s defense-industrial base.
Deliveries will be handled by Germany’s EuroSpike consortium, which includes Rheinmetall, Diehl, and Rafael.
Deployment of the systems will begin in 2028.
