Dynetics has received a $617 million contract from the US Army to produce IFPC Increment 2 systems. The system bridges gaps between short-range defenses and higher-tier systems like Patriot missile system. It integrates launchers with the AN/MPQ-64 Sentinel radar through the Integrated Battle Command System. Designed to counter cruise missiles and UAVs, it currently employs AIM-9X interceptors, with future upgrades planned for advanced threats. The contract indicates a transition toward full-rate production.
