Northrop Grumman has delivered its 1,000th APG-83 SABR radar, marking a major milestone in fighter aircraft modernization. The AESA radar is designed primarily for F-16 upgrades, bringing advanced targeting, terrain mapping, and electronic warfare capabilities closer to fifth-generation fighter standards. Built with modular architecture and software-driven upgrades, the SABR radar allows legacy aircraft to remain operationally relevant against modern threats. Countries such as the US, Taiwan, and Singapore are integrating the radar into upgraded F-16 fleets as part of broader combat capability enhancement programs.
