RTX is investing $100 million in its Rhode Island facility to expand production and testing capacity for critical air and missile defense technologies. The project will support increased output of Patriot GEM-T interceptor components while enhancing testing capabilities for the LTAMDS radar, a next-generation sensor designed to detect advanced threats including hypersonic weapons. The investment forms part of a wider industry effort to strengthen defense manufacturing infrastructure in response to growing global demand for missile defense systems.
