Raytheon has secured a $441.6 million contract to supply Patriot Guidance Enhanced Missile-Tactical (GEM-T) interceptors under Operation Epic Fury, the US military campaign focused on countering threats from Iran. The contract falls under a larger $2.4 billion framework agreement and supports the continued replenishment of Patriot missile inventories. The GEM-T is designed to intercept tactical ballistic missiles, aircraft, and other airborne threats using terminal-phase guidance systems that continuously update targeting information during flight. With an engagement range of approximately 160 kilometers, the missile forms a critical layer of US and allied integrated air defense networks. Production work will continue through 2026 under oversight from the US Army Contracting Command.
