India is advancing its underwater warfare capability through indigenous production of anechoic rubber tiles for submarines. These tiles reduce sonar detectability by absorbing sound and minimizing internal noise transmission. Engineered with multi-layered structures and acoustic cavities, they provide insertion loss of 6 dB and echo reduction of 9 dB. With a lifespan of up to 20 years, they enhance stealth and operational endurance.
