Danish defense contractor Terma has entered into a strategic support agreement with the Argentine Ministry of Defense and the Argentine Air Force, marking its official role in the overhaul of 24 F-16 fighter aircraft recently acquired from Denmark.

The acquisition, finalized in April 2024 and coordinated with the U.S. Government, involved the transfer of surplus Royal Danish Air Force F-16s to Argentina. Now, under a broader modernization initiative managed by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Terma will supply essential Electronic Warfare (EW) upgrades and services for the fleet.

Terma’s role encompasses the provision of mission-critical software and hardware enhancements, mission planning tools, ground support systems, and engineering assistance, all of which are essential to adapting the aircraft to meet FAA operational standards and ensure full combat readiness.

This partnership reflects a growing emphasis on international defense cooperation and technology transfer, as Argentina seeks to elevate its air force capabilities using proven Western platforms.
