Denmark has moved from temporary deployment to permanent acquisition of Saab’s Giraffe 1X radar systems following successful operational use during major security events in Copenhagen. The compact 3D radar provides rapid detection, tracking, and classification of aerial threats including drones, aircraft, helicopters, missiles, and indirect-fire projectiles. Its modular architecture enables rapid deployment from vehicles or fixed positions, making it highly effective for protecting critical infrastructure and high-profile events.
