V2X has secured a US Navy contract to upgrade aircraft survivability systems on Marine Corps KC-130J tanker and transport aircraft. The project involves integrating the Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) system, which protects aircraft from infrared-guided missile threats by detecting incoming launches and automatically deploying defensive countermeasures. The KC-130J is a versatile military aircraft used for aerial refueling, cargo transport, troop movement, and medical evacuation missions. Work on the upgrades will be conducted at V2X’s Florida facility, which supports large-scale defense manufacturing and aircraft integration operations. The contract strengthens V2X’s growing presence in defense modernization and airborne protection technologies.
