Belgium is moving to strengthen the combat power of its F-35 fighter fleet after the US approved a potential $236 million sale of AGM-184 Joint Strike Missiles (JSMs). The package includes missiles, spare parts, testing equipment, training systems, and logistics support. Developed by Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace with RTX involvement, the stealthy JSM is optimized for the F-35’s internal weapons bay, allowing the aircraft to maintain its low radar signature while conducting anti-ship and deep-strike missions. With a range exceeding 350 km, the missile significantly improves Belgium’s long-range strike capability and supports NATO collective defense operations.
